Podcast ad rates dropped in January: Libsyn AdvertiseCast

The average cost per thousand (CPM) for podcast advertising took a small but sharp downturn in January , over one dollar lower than the average rate in November. This from the monthly reckoning at Libsyn subsidiary AdvertiseCast. (See the data HERE.)

The average pricing of a 60-second ad spot across all sizes of purchase was $21.69, down from $22.91 the previous month.

The highest ad rate over the past four years was $25.40 in January, 2022. The low mark was $21.06 in September 2020. So the month-by-month price movements in this accounting are fairly small, ranging across years.
