CNE Acquisition
Chris Bannon, Head of Global Audio at Conde Nast, notifies that American Public Media’s podcast “In The Dark” has been acquired by Conde Nast (CNE). Hollywood Reporter says that financial terms are not disclosed. The show started in 2016 and has won two Peabody Awards and an Edward R. Murrow Award, and a George Polk Award. “Anyone who’s listened to an episode of In the Dark knows that these reporters and producers are doing some of the best investigative journalism in audio,” Bannon says. A New Gig
We observe that Brendan Monaghan, ex-CEO and Co-founder of Megaphone, is leaving parent company Spotify for has taken a new CEO role at CarCare To Go, a mobile car repair and services company. Monaghan left Spotify in March, 2022. READ
