One of UMG’s top execs is stepping down effective immediately. Max Hole will leave his role as the Universal Music Group International’s chairman and CEO following medical troubles. Although he is not able to shoulder his full set of responsibilities, Hole and the company are discussing projects for his continued involvement with UMG. He has worked at UMB since 1998.
With his departure, UMG’s regional heads will report directly to CEO and chairman Lucian Grainge. The company has not revealed details about whether the position will be filled on a permanent or interim basis, or who might step into those shoes.
