The Podcast Academy, chaired by Donal Albright, has released its nominee list for this years The Ambies — the fourth annual celebration of podcast excellence.
“The Ambies celebrate excellence in podcasting and elevate awareness and status of podcasts as a unique and personal medium for entertainment, information, storytelling and expression,” says the organization in its announcement.
This year’s nominees fill out 27 topical and performance categories. We won’t list them all here (see the link above), except for the Podcast of the Year group. They are:
- 50 Years of Hip-Hop
- Can You Dig It?: A Hip-Hop Origin Story with Chuck D
- Embedded: Taking Cover
- Exposed: Cover-Up at Columbia University
- Ghost Story
- Next Year In Moscow
- Questlove Supreme
- Post Reports: The Empty Grave of Comrade Bishop
- Slow Burn: Becoming Justice Thomas
- The Very Worst Thing that Could Possibly Happen
As always, browing through the 540 nominees is a terrific discovery exercise.
