If 2013 was the year when labels released their star albums on Internet radio, 2014 is starting by reversing that trend. Clear Channel announced that Bruce Springsteen‘s new album, “High Hopes,” will launch today with a one-hour radio documentary/preview.
“High Hopes” was partially released in November, with two songs appearing in the iTunes Music Store. Some part of the album was also featured on TV’s The Good Wife last Sunday.
The radio special airs on 100 Clear Channel stations at 9:00PM EST, and features interviews with Springsteen about songwriting and album recording. The program will also be available, by extension, in the iHeartRadio app and web player.
