Sirius XM has launched a Student Premier subscription option. The company is offering college students all of the access from its Premier Streaming package for just $4 per month. The Premier plan normally costs $12.99 per month. The plan includes streaming access outside of cars, on the Sirius XM app for mobile devices, the Sirius XM website, and a number of supported hardware integrations such as smart speakers.
The programming includes a few student-tailored channels, such as sports stations for the different collect divisions. Student Premier subscribers will also receive Personalized Stations Powered by Pandora.
“Today’s college students grew up listening to SiriusXM in their parent’s car, and now we have a package built just for them,” said Matt Epstein, vice president for SiriusXM Outside the Car. “Our Student Premier Package enables students to have their own subscription and continue to enjoy the SiriusXM programming they love in their dorm room, at home or on the go.”
