Sirius XM hires Denise Karkos as new CMO

Sirius XM announced that it has hired Denise Karkos as its new chief marketing officer. Karkos will helm brand and digital marketing for both Sirius XM and Pandora, as well as driving growth of the subscriber and listener audiences. She joins the company from TD Ameritrade, where she held the same post. She was awarded with the 2019 CMO of the Year by Ad Age and received a Brand Genius Award from Adweek.

“Denise is exceptionally innovative and forward-thinking and we are very pleased and excited that she will be leading our marketing efforts as we continue to grow the SiriusXM and Pandora brands,” said Jennifer Witz, president of sales, marketing, and operations at Sirius XM. “She and her team will execute a cohesive marketing strategy to drive brand relevance and consideration through to customer conversion, with a deep focus on digital, social and mobile marketing.”

“I’m excited to join these two great brands and help contribute to their continued success,” Karkos said. “The audio entertainment category has so much momentum, and even more potential. It’s a privilege to join the leaders in this space.”
