Borrell Associates has released its Media Advertising Effectiveness Rankings in 2023. The most compressed expression of this research is the company’s single infographic. It shows SEM, Social Media, and Broadcast TV receiving the most positive scores from surveyed advertisers and agencies. Streaming Audio ranks 15th on the list of 20 marketing categories. AM/FM Radio is 10th. Podcasting is not called out (presumably not offered as an option) at all. See the chart HERE.

The Podcast Movement conference has announced its keynote speaker for the next Evolutions gathering — the annual mid-year installation of the Podcast Movement annual cycle. The star speaker is Hrishikesh Hirway, creator and host of the popular Song Exploder podcast. He was also a producer and co-host of The West Wing Weekly, and was Creative Director of Dangerbird Records in the late aughts. Evolutions 24 is scheduled for March 26-29 in Los Angeles.
