Jottings of note:

Daytime domination

When does podcast listening happen? That question posed and answered by Edison Research in one of its snackable Weekly Insights. “Podcasts can be listened to or watched at any time of day,” Edison reminds us, and the company’s Q3 edition of its Share of Ear subscription product breaks out listening perentages by segments of the 24-hour day. It might go without saying that the 6am-to-6pm segment would hold most of the listening, but Edison articulates (in the graphic below) that as 74% of listening ocurs in the 6pm-to-2am period is listening time for 23%. That leaves a proud 3% — night owls who listen between 2am and 6am.
