Jottings of note:
Promised Proof
“Video is reshaping podcasting, and we have the data to prove it.” That’s the promo for an upcoming webinar produced by Amplifi Media and Coleman Insights, scheduled for April 17 at 2pm ET. It will reveal new research from “The State of Video Podcasting 2025,” a newly released study. Actionable takeaways are promised. Steve Goldstein (Founder/CEO, Amplifi Media) and Jay Nachlis (VP/Consultant, Coleman Insights) will host. Free registration HERE.
Migration
“In 2025, more podcasts will move from audio and video to the stage — and not just the big ones with big budgets.” That forecast is from Juleyka Lantigua (Podcast Academy board member and CEO/Founder of LWC Studios). Her quote appears in the Nieman Lab Predictions for Journalism, 2025. “Podcast super listeners are ready to take things to the next relationship level with their favorite shows,” she also predicts.
Creative vs. Targeting
In a recent survey of brands and media agencies, Cumulus Media and Advertiser Perceptions have sought to solve a question of effectiveness. What works best — the brand, the creative, campaign reach, recency, or effective targeting? A survey of 301 respondents. Theirinput was compared to a prominent study of sales effect: “The Five Keys to Advertising Effectiveness, produced by NC Solutions and Nielsen. The study covers advertising generally, not only audio advertising. The upshot: “Marketers and media agencies massively underestimate the immense sales effect power of creative.” Specifically, creative drives half of sales, which is 2.5 times what advertisers perceive.
