Podnews has opened its annual invitation to rate podcast platforms — the Podnews Report Card 2025. “We’d like to know what you think,” asserts Podnews owner James Cridland, “And so would they!” The idea is to crowdsource helpful feedback. Last year that feedback was shared with Apple Podcasts, Amazon Music, Google, and Spotify. The questions are unchanged from the 2024 edition. Deadline is March 9. Participate HERE.
Hanging Out
Spotify-owned The Ringer and Paper Kite Productions, actress Amy Poehler’s company, have joined to produce her new chatcast, Good Hang with Amy Poehler. Launching in March, it’ll be a weekly drop. Comedy is the theme, as Poehler will talk with her celebrity friends about what makes them laugh. Bill Simmons, founder of The Ringer, is aiming high: “Amy should have one of the biggest podcasts in the world […] We are over the moon that we ge to work wtih her.” This announcement comes two days after Jenna Weiss-Berman left Audacy to become Head of Audio & Podcasts at Paper Kite, remarking, “Who can say no to Ms. Amy Poehler?” Trailer for Good Hang is HERE.
