Podcast startup Sounder raises $1.8M in seed round

Many business are trying to make a move into the world of podcasting infrastructure, and several have been successful in attracting financial support. The latest is Sounder, an end-to-end podcast management and monetization platform. The company secured a seed financing round of $1.8 million. Ulu Ventures led the round, which also included individual Spotify and Google executive angel investors. Sounder will use the funds for hiring, marketing, and development of its tech and platform.

“This capital will be integral in funding the continued development of innovative features on our platform as well as our efforts to educate the podcast community on Sounder’s functionality and breakthrough technology,” Co-founder and CEO Kal Amin said. “We launched in September 2019 and have been enthusiastically received by independent creators and enterprise-level publishers alike.
