Paul Riismandel, formerly Chief Insights Partner and Partner at audio research service Signal Hill Insights, has been promoted as President, as of September 30. The news comes at the Podcast Movement conference in Washington DC.
Riismandel was one of the first research professionals in the podcast industry, and joined Signal Hill in early 2023. His deep understanding of digital audio advertising and ad effectiveness has established Signal Hill as the leader in adding industry insight to its media research services.
In his new leadership role, Rissmandel plans to bring new sectors — such as video podcasting and the creator network — into the company’s measurement work.
Jeff Vidler will continue with the company as founder and strategic advisor.
Best known for his pioneering role at Midroll Media, acquired by SiriusXM in 2020, Paul has overseen hundreds of ad effectiveness studies for nearly every major brand in the space, developed the industry’s largest first-party listener panel of podcast consumers and authored original thought leadership research defining best practices in podcast advertising.
