IFPI appoints Norman Halim to board: The International Federation of Phonographic Industries (IFPI), an organizational and advocacy group for the global record industry, appointed Norman Halim to its Board of Directors. Halim head the KRU Music label, and is chairman of the Recording Industry of Malaysia. “It gives me great pleasure to accept this honour of representing the Malaysian music industry and the Asian independent music labels on an international level,” said Halim

Michelle Jubelirer rises to COO of Capitol Records: After two years with Capitol, Michelle Jubelirer has been appointed to Chief Operating Officer. Capital Records is the holding group for several labels including Virgin, Motown, and Blue Note.
