Podfront UK is announcing today that Oli Walters has joined the venture as Head of Sales in London. this is a revenue-driving position for the still-new Podfront UK venture, which brings a distribution alliance of the Wondery and Stitcher podcast networks into the UK, headed by Ruth Fitzsimons.
The announcement has resonance for London-HQ’d podcast company Audioboom, which is undergoing rapid-fire executive rearrangement. Oli Walters leaves Audioboom where he was also Head of Sales. On September 30 Audioboom’s CEO, Robert Proctor, resigned and was replaced by Stuart Last in an interim CEO role. Ruth Fitzsimons herself is ex-Audioboom, where she was SVP International Operations and Content Partnerships for three years, and Global Head of Content for two years before that.

Walters has about 15 years of experience in radio, agency, and podcasting. He has held leadership positions at Bauer Media, Global, and Absolute Radio.
