NAB offers AI lessons for broadcasters

Trade group NAB (National Association of Broadcasters) has mounted an AI training program for broadcasters. It’s free, and promises practical knowledge for more efficient team work, strengthened reporting and storytelling, and a better product for audiences. “Artificial intelligence is rapidly changing how broadcasters research stories, create content, verify information and serve audiences,” the NAB states.

The program is free for NAB member stations, and consists of six 90-minute live/virtual sessions between July and September — kickoff session on July 9. Participants are encouraged to register teams that might include reporters, producers, anchors, digital content creators, station managers — and pretty much anyone else, is the drift we get.

The bottom-line pitch: “Broadcasters are being asked to create more content, serve audiences across more platforms and do it all with limited time and resources. This training will help participants learn practical ways to use AI to improve workflows, strengthen journalism and make more time for the work that matters most.” More info HERE.
