New podcast production skidded downward in October, establishing the sixth month trend of desultory trending. To be clear: Although no firm direction is established, the output level of new podcasts is drawing a fairly stable line (see the graph below), as production seems to be settling after a January peak and gradual lessening during the year.

A macro view is found in the count of new episodes (not shows) per year, going back to 2011. (See the chart below). We observe the Covid-era elevation of content which could extend into the 2024 total.
