Spotify has developed a new array of subscription offers. Rather than the traditional in-or-out model, Spotify is testing a system of three Premium offerings: Light, Standard, and Platinum. Each one provides ad-free listening, with the following limitations and benefits:
- Premium Lite: An entry-level plan that includes ad-free listening but caps audio quality at 160kbps.
- Premium Standard: Free listening, higher quality audio at 320kbps, and the ability to download music for offline listening. (A Student version is also available.)
- Premium Platinum: Top-tier, this plan includes all features above, plus lossless audio streaming, advanced AI-powered features like AI DJ and playlist creation tools, and integration with DJ software. It also includes two additional household seats for a total of three accounts.
