In the thin upper atmosphere of podcast rankings, change over time is small and rare. Edison Research has released its Top 50 Podcasts in the U.S. based on reach for Q3 2025 among weekly podcast consumers ages 13+. The list ranks podcasts based on total audience reach from Edison Podcast Metrics. (See the source HERE.)
As we frequently point out, podcast success metrics are extraordinarily stable; nearly unchanging. In the top 10 spots of Edison’s 50-show list, only one show was not on the Q2 top-10 list (our coverage of which is HERE). That one entrant is the Morbid podcast.
Looking at the entire top 50, one listed podcast ranks on the list for the first time: On Purpose with Jay Shetty in the #42 slot.
Edison observes how he list is sometimes affected by current effects: The Charlie Kirk Show saw a 32-place increase (from #49 to #17.
For this report, Edison conducted interviews continuously throughout the quarter in English and Spanish. Rankings are based on average weekly consumption over the full period. All respondents reported listening to a podcast or watching a podcast in the last week.
