Dutch music industry organization NVPI released its half-year results, which showed 30% growth in streaming sales. Streaming now holds a 65% share of total market sales in the country, boosting digital music revenue to €55.4 million for the first half of 2017.
Vinyl was another driver for the Dutch market, with a 21% increase in sales. However, physical formats still trailed behind the digital side in overall performance, with revenue of €24.1 million. The total music market in the Netherlands saw first-half revenue of €79.5 million, up 8.5% from the first six months of 2016.
