Deezer partners with Lithuanian telecom

deezer button canvasDeezer has been busy making deals with telecommunications companies over the past few months. The latest one is a partnership with Tele2 in Lithuania. Under the terms of that agreement, Tele2 customers will get free access to Deezer’s music streaming service for three months.

According to Telecompaper, 49% of Lithuanians listen to illegal music. We’ve seen that Norway successfully squashed most of its residents’ music piracy on the back on increased interest in streaming services, so it’s possible that the industry in Lithuania is hoping to follow suit.
