Audioboom expands sales staff with two hires in a “strategic move”

Global podcast network Audioboom is bolstering its US and UK sales effort with two hires: Molly Harvey leaves her position as Senior Account Executive at SiriusXM to become Vice President, Brand Sales, and Shaun Wilson departs Spotify to become Vice President of Podcast Sales.

In addition to her previous role at SiriusXM, Molly Harvey was Account Executive at CBS Radio. She is expected to drive revenue growth, build  strategic partnerships, and maximize the monetization potential of podcast content through “impactful sales strategies.”

For Shaun Wilson, the new appointment is a return. He was with Audioboom for two and a half years as an account manager and Head of UK Sales in 2019 and 2020. After that Wilson worked stints at Sony Music Entertainment, where he led podcast sales for the UK, and Spotify (UK Podcast Lead). Audioboom expects his expertise in devising sales strategies and managing client relationships will position him as a key contributor to the company’s commercial goals.

Audioboom says the hires are part of a strategic move to fortify the sales division and grow in podcasting.

“We’re delighted to extend a warm welcome to Molly and Shaun,” said Jenni Skaug, Audioboom’s Chief Growth Officer. “Their extensive expertise and demonstrated success in sales will play a crucial role in advancing our growth strategies, further establishing us as the market-leader in premium podcast advertising.”

Audioboom emphasizes that these hires are part of the company’s core mission to empower podcast creators and foster partnerships with global brand partners. The company serves over 130-million podcast downloads to 38-million listeners per month, and is the fifth largest podcast publisher in the U.S. according to Edison Research.
