Acast hires new leader for Australian operations

Podcast company Acast has hired Henrik Isaksson to head up its operations in Australia. Isaksson joins the audio and podcasting platform from a programmatic mobile advertising service called Amobee, but his resume also includes work at Spotify, where he began in sales and progressed to become a country manager.

“I’m thrilled to be part of a company pioneering this space,” Isaksson said of his new role. “We are already seeing a huge demand for our platform and services from both podcasters and advertisers in Australia and to date there hasn’t been a solution capable of catering this.”

“Australia is one of our fastest growing markets and we are very lucky to have Henrik at the helm,” said Måns Ulvestam, co-founder and CEO of Sweden-based Acast. “Henrik has deep experience from working in many different sales organizations and has a unique perspective on the audio industry from his time at Spotify, and we are confident that he will have a significant impact on our business.”
