RAIN Notes: March 28

Jottings of note:

Chosen

The Podcast Academy (TPA) has announced its newly reconfigured 2025-2026 Board of Governors. We are especially pleased to report that E.B. Moss — RAIN Summit speaker extraordinaire, content strategist, B2B marketer, and podcast executive — joins the board. Eight other newcomers have been appointed: Donald Albright (Tenderfoot TV), Sirisha Kuchimanchi, Ti King (Arkansas Podcast Collaborative), Nikki Boyer (producer/actor), Pat Shah (Audible), Jen Sargent (Wondery), Christy Mirabal (founder of The Podcast Academy, and Matty Staudt (founder, Jam Street Media). They will join 22 continuing governors. This is nicely documented in a graphic.

Supercharging

Audio and advertising platform AdsWizz has released a wrap-up of its recently completed Audio Days conference in Milan —“a high-energy, insight-packed, future-focused day that pushes the industry forward,”  as the company describes it. The event covered digital audio market trends, how digital audio “supercharges”multichannel marketing, a case study which linked a beer company to real-time surf reports (751 thousand of them), how data and targeting make smarter ads, digital evolution between podcasts and new audio ecosystems, the “sonic identity space,” and more. There’s a fair amount of merics-based info in this rundown. See it HERE.

Experience

Billy Hartman, ex-SiriusXM (VP, Revenue Partnerships) and ex-Frequency (Head of Business Development), founder of business consulting firm HGC Services, announces that he has joined ART19 (subsidiary of Amazon) as Head of Revenue. “The opportunity to merge Amazon’s limitless cross-platform demand with our partner’s supply is a dream,” he says. Hartman also spent seven eventful years (2013-2020) at TuneIn, as Senior Vice President, Head of Global Ad Revenue and Partnerships. Before that he was National Sales Director at Pandora.
