Vevo hires a Chief People Officer

colleen-mccreary-canvasVevo hired Colleen McCreary as its chief people officer. In this role, she will be tasked with managing the video company’s global people strategies and operations. McCreary’s resume includes time with mobile expert Zynga, where she oversaw growth from 130 to 4,000 employees, as well as human resources work at EA and Microsoft.

“We’re delighted to welcome Colleen to Vevo as we enter into the next phase of growth and transformation for our business,” CEO Erik Huggers said. “Colleen’s tremendous expertise and leadership in people operations will be key in driving a high-performance organization that can deliver on our vision for the future.”

Vevo has seen several personnel changes of late, including the addition of Jon Gisby as the new head of Europe and the planned departure of Chief Revenue Officer Nic Jones at the end of the year. The company has been looking for fundraising as it carves out a new niche as a mobile video platform.
