Spotify has hired Tom Connaughton as its head of artist and label marketing for the UK. Connaughton previously worked at Vevo, most recently as the video company’s senior vice president of creative content and programming. He begins working at Spotify’s London office on April 9 and will report to Troy Carter, head of creator services.
He joins at an exciting time for Spotify. The streaming music company will make its debut on the New York Stock Exchange on April 3. The direct listing has been in the works for many months, and the company hosted an event on March 15 to attract potential investors in its public offering.
