Spotify has made another startup acquisition. This time the purchased company is MightyTV, a company specializing in video recommendations. MightyTV uses a mobile swiping interface to help guide users to television and film choices that match individual tastes. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. MightyTV has raised just over $4 million since it launched less than a year ago.
MightyTV founder and CEO Brian Adams will join Spotify as vice president of technology, with a focus on marketing and advertising platforms. The startup’s other employees will join Spotify’s team.
