In its newly released Q4 earnings report, SiriusXM held steady on the revenue side, compared to Q4 2024.
The subscriber count, always an important piece of the puzzle, Q4 gave a welcome lift to a downward moving full year. In all of 2025, Sirius lost 301,000 self-pay subs. Within that picture the fourth quarter offered uplift, as 110,000 new self-paying users signed up.
Churn is always something to look at, and Sirius saw self-paying monthly churn drop from 16% to 15%, year-over-year.
At the end of the day — well, the year — SiriusXM held a subscriber base of 33 million users. There was demand for exclusive premium content served to subscribers, including sports.
Remembering that SiriusXM has roots in automobile presence, the company’s outlook for 2026 is dampened by expected weakening car sales.
Podcasting was a gleaming bright spot for 2025 — ad revenue for the pods grew 41%.
