The Signal Awards — the annual awards program which celebrates and honors excellence in podcasting and digital audio, has released the field of finalists.
The next step is bestowing awards. There are two layers to that:
- The Signal Award: Chosen by a panel of judges which includes industry leaders and creators
- The Listener’s Choice Award: voted and selected by the listening public worldwide.
The organizing body here is the Signal Academy, managed by General Manager Jemma Rose Brown; she has been running the show for five years. (Before this stint Brown spent time at KFAI radio, The Moth, On Air Fest, and work x work.)
