Jottings of note:
Growth, Not Vanity
Branded podcast and audience development company Amaze Media Labs is releasing is latest innovation. Called YouTube Promotion Campaigns, the new product is described as “A proprietary growth solution built to drive real video views, engagement, and subscriber growth on YouTube through hyper-targeted video ad placements overlaid with Audiencelift’s exclusive technology.” Brett Sklar, Co-Founder of Amaze Media Labs, observes, “With YouTube now central to podcast discovery, creators need more than just visibility. They need real engagement.” Robert Tuchman, another co-founder, says: “Our clients want real growth, not vanity metrics.”
Double Focus
Henry Blodget, founder and former CEO of Business Insider, is making a podcast called Solutions, with a double focus of business and technology. The project is partnering with Vox Media, with both audio and video versions planned. The stated topic is broad, just short of fuzzy. In an interview with Semafor, Blodget says “The whole idea of this show is — we are all very aware of the problems in the world, and there is exceptional work being done every day by journalists and commentators and analysts on the depth of these problems.” Launching August 18.
