Audio technology and advertising management company Skyview has been purchased by Steve Jones, who has been President/CEO for seven yers. Jones has a long professional history in radio, starting as a News Writer for ABC News Radio in 1986. More recently he held VP roles at The Walt Disney Company.
He acquires Skyview from its founder Ken Thiele, who started the firm 30 years ago. Continuity is emphasized in a memo distributed to Skyview staff, and that much of the leadership team remains in place. Thiele and other shareholders will reportedly remain engaged in an advisory capacity.
“This is a meaningful moment, both personally and professionally,” Jones said. “It reflects the trust of shareholders who believed in our direction, the grit of a team that shows up every day for our clients and the vision of our Founder, Ken Thiele, who built something the industry genuinely respects.”
