Podcast data and analytics company Magellan AI has released February rankings of podcast advertisers. This monthly drumbeat informs us of two distinctions:
- Top spenders (dollar count)
- Top Movers & shakers (spending increase from previous month)
In the Top Spenders list (below), we notice a near-even split of companies which raised, and lowered their investment from the previous month. Even more notable is the podcast genre which overwhelmingly received the most investment — Sports, which received the biggest investment from 12 of the 15 podcasts.

The Movers & Shakers list (below) does not indicate podcast verticals, but does indicate the percentage by which each advertiser raised its investment from the previous month. Note that Anthropic raised its previous-month investment more than 26,000 percent (from $2,800 to $740,000). Meta (#4 on the list) also piled into February, about 12,000% more than the prior month.
