From sofas to Uber: Top pod-spending brands (September)

The top-spending podcast advertiser in September was Washable sofas, which invested $7.3-million in the month. That info from stalwart measurement company Podtrac in the September edition of its Top Spenders. In the 15-company list, the spend range is bracketed by that number and the #15 spender (Uber) which invested $3.1 million.

In that top-15 list we see 12 companies which increased their month-over-month spends, and five which decreased.

Interesting to see, above, that Sports dominates the genre list in the top 15.

Moving and shaking

Podtrac also supplies a Top Movers & Shakers accounting, which represents companies which increased their month-over-month spend more than other sponsors. That list, below, includes the top increases by percentage of change, but ranks the list by dollars spent, not by amount of increase — a method which creates potential cognitive dissonance.
