ENCO Systems upgrades its DJ replacement technology with upcoming release

Broadcast automation company ENCO Systems is announcing (pre-announcing, really) a new-and-evolved version of its aiTrack content insertion technology — the formal introduction will happen at the NAB Show 2026 (Las Vegas in April). In brief, the upgrade transforms the product’s original workflow into what the company describes as “a fully cloud-native, automation-agnostic platform designed for modern broadcast environments.”

The key feature of this tech is instant generation and customization, and scheduling AI-driven audio segments for live and automated programming. Not delightful news for human announcers, we hazard to guess, as this system (which is accessible via web browser) promises “natural sounding synthetic voices.” ENCO suggests its use in delivering breaking news, entertainment, weather, sports, sponsored segments, and localized content.

A more technical summary of the product reads like this: “At the core of aiTrack is a modern architecture that combines large language models, real-time data integration and advanced prompt engineering with high-quality synthetic voice technology.” It uses “automation-agnostic design” and purports to be compatible with any broadcast system.

Realism is promised with features that include multi-voice capabilities, language localization and voice cloning technology. These capacities are built into ENCO’s SPECai platform. SPECai was developed in a partnership of ENCO, production company Benztown, and Compass Media Networks.

None of this is good news to human announcers. For organizations, ENCO President Ken Frommert promises “aiTrack redefines what’s possible in live broadcasting, empowering organizations to do more with less while enhancing audience engagement.”
