Disgraceland is getting a TV adaptation from Nashville producers

Disgraceland is the latest podcast making the leap to the small screen. The show, hosted and launched by Jake Brennan in 2018, has told the tales of scandal and drama from the music industry.

Kapital Entertainment acquired the rights to the show, and the TV version will be led by three people behind the program Nashville. Nashville creator/executive producer Callie Khouri and producer Michael Lohmann will write the TV adaptation with Brennan. T Bone Burnett, a legendary performer/songwriter/producer and the executive music producer for the first season of Nashville, will oversee the music.

“I was weary of trying to adapt Disgraceland into a television show for a long while. Then Callie, Lohmann, and T Bone came into the meeting with a vision for how to adapt it that blew me away,” Brennan told Billboard. “By the end of the meeting, I was like, ‘Ok, I’m in. Let’s do this.’ Along with Aaron Kaplan, these are some of the most savvy, soulful, creative folks I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with. Dream squad and I can’t wait for Disgraceland fans to see what we’re cooking up.”
