Spotify has launched a “wrapped”-style feature called Party of the Year(s), inviting subscribers to flash back
to their earliest platform listens. In the spirit of a game, users are asked to guess their first song — it’s multiple choice, not out-of-the-blue, thankfully. After revealing that first streamed track, the app offers two more usage stats:
- All-time most streamed artist (by number of streamed minutes)
- All time top songs.
It’s part of Spotify’s 20th birthday celebration. This is a bit confusing, because the Spotify listening service started in 2008. But the company was founded in 2006. A hands-on , interactive timeline of Spotify history is HERE.
