Apple announced its calculation of the most popular podcasts in 2025. The report offers several views of the information: Top Shows, Top New Shows, Most Followed Shows. Most Shared Shows, and Top Channels (parent companies of the shows).

We shuffled the information to reveal how the top shows are distributed among the different types — e.g. new shows, series, shows shared the most, followed the most, and subscription podcasts. The publishers are also included.
Rarely satisfied as we are by podcast charts, we remixed the information and charted it to reveal which shows landed in more than one winning category. (See below.)
Charted this way, The Daily and Dateline NBC emerge at a higher level than The Joe Rogan Experience, which by nearly all measurements is the world’s most successful podcast. Naturally, we derive no qualitative judgment from this; it’s just fun with charts.
