Spotify switches to standardized family pricing

Spotify has altered the pricing structure for its family plan. Under the new pricing, a family plan includes up to six individual Premium accounts for $14.99. The feature set for the plan is unchanged; all listeners will have their own ad-free account with their own saved music, playlists, and recommendations.

When it was initially added in October 2014, up to four additional members could be put on the same plan at a 50% discount for each one. In other words, two people total would cost $14.99, while three would cost $19.99 and four would be $24.99 and five $29.99. The new structure brings Spotify’s offering in line with those provided by Apple Music and Google.
