The streaming service has been available in the UK for six months, and according to Amazon UK’s head of music Paul Firth, growth has been happening “at a faster rate than expected.” He reaffirmed the message Amazon has been sending stateside about Prime Music: it’s not trying to take down Spotify or Pandora. (Pandora does not operate in the U.K.) But that doesn’t mean Firth doesn’t see room for Prime to take off. “You could argue we’re still only scratching the surface in terms of growth potential,” he said.
