The hire comes during a period of WideOrbit’s aggressive investment in digital platforms, and also at a key inflection point when the audio industries are recognizing programmatic ad sales as an important dimension of the business. Burdick has held key position in the display and video advertising realms, where programmatic buying is more established. He has a strong technology background. Burdick was Chief Technology Officer of PrecisionDemand (targeted TV advertising), which was acquired by AOL, a leader in programmatic advertising for display and video. He held similar roles at Specific Media and adEcn.
One of Burdick’s key responsibilities will be managing the transition of recently acquired companies. He will also oversee development of WideOrbits digital platforms, sales, and revenue in digital and programmatic.
WideOrbit’s platforms manage $30-billion in annual ad spending.

- Steven McCartney (European Operations), ex-SVP of Technology at Specific Media
- Geoff Coco (Director of Product Management), original author of the VAST video specification and former chairman of the Digital Video Committee of the IAB
