YouTube Music and YouTube Premium are now available in 17 markets

The new and revised YouTube Music and YouTube Premium have officially made their international launch. The services, which update YouTube’s approaches to streaming and subscription music, were first announced earlier this year, and began rolling out in the United States in May. Now, the apps are available in a total of 17 countries:

• Canada
• Finland
• France
• Germany
• Ireland
• Italy
• Mexico
• New Zealand
• Norway
• Russia
• Spain
• South Korea
• Sweden
• United Kingdom
• United States

In the latest iteration, YouTube Music offers music videos, official videos, remixes, live performances, and covers. It also has a recommendation enging and curated playlists for different moods and genres. The highlight of the service is ad-free listening, available under the YouTube Music Premium $9.99 per month subscription. YouTube is offering a free trial for three months.

Today also marks the official rebranding of YouTube Red as YouTube Premium. The joint subscription for ad-free access to YouTube Music and other entertainment content costs $11.99 per month. Any current members of YouTube Red and Google Play Music will keep access to YouTube Premium at their home market’s previous price point.
