Spotify mobilizing for Thailand launch

Spotify is hosting an event later this month where it is expected to announce its launch in Thailand. The streaming platform’s Bangkok event is scheduled for August 22. The subscription costs will likely be revealed at that time.

The company had advertised for job posts in both Thailand and Vietnam earlier in the year. Spotify already has some presence in southeast Asia; it is available in Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, the Philippines and Hong Kong. In Thailand, Spotify will face competition from d=several other regional and international music services, such as Deezer, Joox, Tidal, and Apple Music.
