Spotify hires Kevin Weatherly for programming role in North America

Spotify has hired Kevin Weatherly as its head of North American programming. Weatherly was previously a senior vice president of programming at Entercom, after spending many years on programming for alternative Los Angeles radio station KROQ.

Spotify has been a roller coaster over the past several months, with a wave of departures and hirings across its leadership ranks. Despite the internal changes, the streaming service managed to present strong numbers in its fourth-quarter and full-year financial results for 2019. The company saw quarterly revenue and subscriber numbers on the rise.
