Spotify adds Kids & Family programming

Children and family programming has been an area of interest for streaming services, and Spotify is the latest to add that content into its audio offerings. The new section under its Genres & Moods section features playlists made in-house as well as by Walt Disney Records and other children’s companies. Several of the playlists in Kids & Family focus on particular age groups or activities. Spotify’s programming also includes some Spanish-language programming and highlights some top kid-friendly artists.

Spotify is just the latest audio company to create a dedicated portal for kids’ music. Rhapsody (now Napster) and iHeartMedia have also launched similar hubs for family-friendly entertainment.
