Jottings of note:
Dan Franks, owner and producer of the Podcast Movement conferences, reacts to podcast industry churn a day after the Amazon/Wondery layoffs and repositioning. “At Podcast Movement, we’ve always believed in the power of community, especially the podcasting community.” Franks says. He is offering complimentary passes to Podcast Movement 2025 next month in Dallas, for ex-Wondery staff who lost their jobs this week. We don’t know how long this offer will last. His statement with email application link is HERE.
Bill Rosenblatt, media / tech / copyright expert, informs us that the 16th annual Copyright + Technology conference is set for September 8 in New York. He is seeking panelists. Qualifications? “You were around during the post-Napster era and are involved with AI today,” he says. The conference has been running for nearly two decades, and brings together technologists, attorneys, media industry professionals, and public policy decision-makers. It’s about the dramatic influences technology has on copyright in the digital age. More info HERE.
