Podtrac weekly metrics: Flat week-over-week amid overall annual growth

Week-over-week podcast downloads were nearly flat in Podtrac’s just-released weekly report. The longer year-over-year view shows 45%+ increase in downloads.

In the graphic above we can see holiday turbulence at the end of 2019, and the well documented Covid disruption in March and April.

Looking at the category view, Podtrac shows that News (in pink below) remains a big winner. There’s no stopping True Crime either.
