New Pandora tool offers faster mobile Alexa activation

Pandora announced that a new integration with Amazon’s Alexa voice platform. The latest feature is called Alexa Linking, which will make it easier for listeners to activate Pandora on the Echo collection of smart devices. The tool will allow Pandora to be activated on their Alexa devices from within the Pandora mobile app.

Alexa Linking will launch for iOS device today, and the Android app will receive the update soon.

Pandora has been focusing on voice tools. The company introduced a new Voice Mode feature in July that offers more ways to control the audio platform with spoken commands. RAIN News tested the tool, which brings the technology most closely associated with smart speakers directly into Pandora’s own software.
