“We’re happy to expand the depth and quality of lyrics available on Google’s services,” LyricFind CEO Darryl Ballantyne said. “We’re working together to make lyrics available to a larger audience in a faster and more efficient way.”
Lyrics have been available in Google’s music platform, and in turn appeared in search queries, since December 2014. The tech giant sourced the search lyrics directly from rights holders, although LyricFind was working with the early YouTube Music Key service at that time.
