Otto Radio uses Uber technology to soundtrack your ride

Talk radio startup Otto Radio has integrated with ride-share app Uber, thanks to Uber’s API (Application Programming Interface). Similarly to Pandora’s recent integration, Otto Radio users can connect their profiles with Uber. (Otto Radio is sometimes regarded as a Pandora for podcasts.)

The result of this integration is that Otto listeners can have the app create a playlist for an upcoming Uber ride, timed for the anticipated length of the ride. This playlist compiles news podcasts and other audio content seeded by the listener’s interests.  This ability to time out playlists to a specific activity is a distinct feature for Otto Radio.

Otto Radio has been positioning as an app for discovery and personalized recommendations in audio. It won the RAIN Award for Best Audio Startup this year. The app is available for both iOS and Android.App
