Triton/Omny adds video podcast production with existing audio capabilities

Triton Digital-owned Omny Studio announces that it has equipped its podcast creation platform with video podcasting. Along with the basic capacity to produce video podcasts, the update includes analytics and monetization for them.

The update allows clients to create, manage, distribute, and monetize video productions with the same suite of capabilities Triton has long built for audio podcasts.

The new platform offers three key capabilities:

Triton CEO John Rosso observed:

“Podcasting has always been rooted in audio, and that is still the core of the medium,” John Rosso, President and CEO, Triton Digital, said. “But video has become a really powerful way for people to discover new content and find shows they end up loving.” — John Rosso

Almost as a footnote to the announcement, Triton mentions that its platform is “laying the groundwork for future support of HLS delivery in publisher apps,” which the company says is “a key step in advancing video podcast distribution and monetization in open ecosystems.”
